Instrumental Teacher job summary

Music plays an important role in every culture on the planet. We are looking for an excellent music teacher to work with us on our journey to bring music to life here at Bordon Junior School.
• We foster children’s growing independence and aspirations by giving them opportunities to plan and execute their own work and we encourage children to support and learn from each other
• We respect every person as unique and treat everyone with dignity
• We always seek to improve and work together to achieve more, especially valuing our partnership with parents
• We encourage high standards and know every child can be successful
This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent teacher to join our friendly and supportive team and bring learning to life for every child here at Bordon Junior School. In addition to our primary music lessons which are delivered by our class teachers, we give every child the opportunity to learn to play an instrument. Some of our pupils discover that this is what they love best and so they sign up for additional instrumental lessons and to be part of our rock band programme. We need a teacher who can inspire and teach our pupils to play an instrument. Someone who can continue and develop this exciting programme.
This role would be perfect for a qualified teacher looking for a part time role. It could also suit someone who is coming from a background in music with the right experience. We are looking for a teacher who is:
• Able to provide exciting and inspirational learning experiences
• Open to change and committed to on-going improvement
• Enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated
• Passionate about ensuring every child succeeds
