Interim Deputy Head of School job summary
We are looking to appoint an Interim Deputy Head of School at St Thomas CE Academy who can inspire and motivate children and staff alike to work alongside the Executive Headteacher and Interim Head of School. Through our provision we aim to teach all children to be responsible, self-confident and to believe in themselves in an environment which is stimulating, exciting and rich in opportunities.
The role is part of the School Leadership Team and will support the Interim Head of School: in ensuring the educational success of the school within the framework of the school’s and the MAT’s strategic plans; in establishing a culture that promotes excellence, equality and high expectations of all pupils and will support and promote the aims of All Saints Multi Academy Trust.
This interim role encompasses the specific responsibility to improve teaching and learning and raise progress and attainment.

We are looking to appoint a person who:
- Is a qualified teacher with previous experience of leadership and a proven track record of improving teaching and learning
- Will support and further develop our Christian ethos and values
- Has a deep understanding of teaching and learning
- Has a deep understanding of curriculum
- Is up to date with current research practice
- Has a proven track record of curriculum innovation and implementation
- Is organised and can manage a class well
- Can speak fluent English as in accordance with part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016)
- Who likes working with children!
