What skills and experience we're looking for
York High School is looking to appoint an interim Head of School to cover a period of absence. We are a mixed 11–16 school, serving a genuinely comprehensive intake, and our values of resilience, aspiration and success are woven through everything we do.
The successful candidate will be an excellent leader, with the ability to provide operational and strategic leadership, to drive forward the improvement journey the school is already on. You may be an experienced school leader or someone looking for the next step in your leadership career; regardless of your background and experience, you will be fully supported by a committed staff body, senior leadership team and CEO, with further specialised support in areas such as SEND, school improvement and HR readily available from the Trust’s wider Central Team.
