Internal Exclusion Manager - Term Time Only / 37 hours per week job summary
Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst is a large secondary school in North Solihull that is passionate about creating an environment in which children can achieve their full potential.
To help achieve this the governors of the school are looking to appoint a positive and dynamic manager of our Internal Exclusions facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Internal Exclusion room, ensuring that students are effectively supervised, that high standards of behaviour are maintained and that students learning is maximized.
The Internal Exclusion room is a part of the schools behaviour management system. It serves to help students modify any unacceptable behaviours and to promote positive attitudes and values in line with the ethos of the school.
39 Weeks - Term Time Only
The successful candidate will;
Be educated to a good standard with a minimum of GCSE Grade C in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
Have the ability to assist students with their learning and management of their behaviour.
Have the ability to successfully work with disaffected young people.
Have a knowledge and understanding of strategies to remove barriers to learning.
Be able to establish relationships with students, colleagues and other professionals.
Have good organization and time management skills.
Have excellent communication skills.
Experience of working in a school or similar educational setting is desirable but not essential.
