What skills and experience we're looking for
We want to interview candidates who can evidence that they have experience of closing the gaps in learning for pupils who are experiencing challenge, particularly in regulating their behaviours. As importantly, you’re someone who is resilient, innovative and has the type of enthusiasm that’s infectious, so that you bring about change in a positive way. You’re also sensitive, respectfully challenging, patient and kind: just the type of teacher our students, pupils and community can relate to.

What the school offers its staff
Brookfield School is a specialist school for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, associated learning needs and challenging behaviours in Hereford. We cater for 90 girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 16, and also have a primary intervention programme supporting children aged 5 – 11 to remain in mainstream settings or to assess children without an EHCP.
We are a rapidly improving school who came out of Special Measures and were recognised by Ofsted as having made strong progress in every area. Pupil, staff and families’ morale is good and we are very positive about the bright future of the school
