This year, all schools have been provided with additional funding to support with their recovery offer. This means that there is funding to support where children may have gaps in their learning as a result of COVID, or need a little extra boost to meet and/or exceed age related expectation. We are thrilled to advertise this part time role to support children to catch up and close any gaps in their learning.

Keeble Gateway Academy is a new academy, which only opened in September 2019. This role is an amazing opportunity to work in our state of the art facilities alongside outstanding teachers who whole-heartedly believe in our mission statement that Every Child Achieves.

We are passionate about ensuring our school is a place where children feel safe, happy and valued and are able to achieve their absolute potential. Learning is engaging and inspiring and we have exceptionally high expectations for our children in terms of their academic achievements as well as personal, social and emotional development.

Our brand-new building opened in summer 2020, including amazing Sport and ICT resources, a sensory room and immersive space, and a large school site including playing fields, MUGA and forest schools area.

Our children and families have had an excellent start at Keeble – and we look forward to building on that in 2021/22. Your practice, ethos and approach to school life will shape the lives of our children, the school we are building and the future staff that are appointed. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is vibrant, caring, flexible, innovative and inspiring to work under the direction of our Head of School and Classroom Teachers.

As such, it is key that:

Your priority in the classroom is building relationships with children;
Your values are aligned to our school values of love, kindness, aspiration and self-belief;
You are committed to ensuring every child achieves their absolute potential, regardless of background or barriers;
You have exceptionally high expectations for our children;
You are committed to a team approach – being a small school, we all contribute and help each other across aspects of school life.

It is likely that the working pattern will be 2 afternoons per week 1.00 – 3.00pm. This is, however, open to discussion and we are keen to be flexible with the successful candidate.
