The Centre at Comberton Village College is looking to appoint skilled and enthusiastic individuals to join our hard-working team of professionals, who dedicate themselves to enabling our students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to cope in a mainstream setting and feel safe to prosper academically and socially. The role will involve working with our pupils who are accessing Alternative Provision and need to access education.
As an Interventions Co-ordinator, you will have experience of working with young people with Special Education Needs. You will have a good understanding of the needs and characteristics of students across the age range 11-19. The primary purpose of the role is to deliver 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils to help them make excellent progress in core subjects of English, Maths and Science. This could be face-to-face based in school or online for pupils who are not attending school.
We are looking for someone who has excellent verbal and written communication skills, is reliable, flexible and enthusiastic, can demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and who will relate positively to all learners.
Experience of working (paid or unpaid) with children of the appropriate age range would be desirable. The successful candidates will ensure that pupils are assessed and tutored to improve their skills, knowledge and understanding of the core subjects of English, Maths and Science.

- Communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils
- Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written
- Work well as part of a team
- Be willing to contribute to school life outside of the classroom
Duties will include:
Supporting identified students on a 1:1 or small group basis
Providing specialist learning support to pupils
Contributing to reports on pupil progress
Encouraging and promoting inclusion in the classroom
Establishing supportive relationships with pupils and their parents and carers
