IT Manager job summary

In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of all IT systems and services across the Trust. Key Responsibilities:

To provide an efficient, effective robust IT Technical Support Service to members of the Trust Academies community, across multiple sites.

Install, configure, manage and maintain all Trust servers, clients, peripherals, cloud-based services and applications.

Provide IT training and support, across the Trust, for staff and students in the use of hardware, software and cloud-based services.

The line management and supervision IT Support staff across Trust.

Liaise with 3rd party suppliers / contractors where necessary.


Qualifications and Skills:

Studied to a minimum standard of GCSE (grade A-C)* or equivalent in English and Mathematics.

University degree in Computing, or HND/HNC level, or equivalent professional/technical/vendor-specific qualifications.

Membership of an appropriate professional body such as BSC, ITIL, ACM, etc.

Further industry-standard professional certifications such as CompTIA, MSCE, MIE, City & Guilds (advantageous).

Experience of working within the education sector.
