IT Technician job summary
We are looking to appoint an IT Technician to support the day to day running and organisation of the school IT systems.
We are look for an IT Technician to help us ensure the highest standards in our IT provision. The successful candidate will be able to work independently helping to maintain the school's network and providing technical support for staff in all IT requirements. The network will initially continue to be managed by a sub contracted network manager.
The role will involve day to day problem solving activities, installing new software and upgrading existing applications, maintaining and supporting the school's website and intranet, ordering and maintaining IT equipment and consumables, and maintaining and updating the asset register.
You will also be advising and assisting staff in practical activities, and providing guidance and advice to encourage pupils to engage in IT activities including supporting an IT club and school radio.
Full training and support will be provided as well as an opportunity for career progression within our school.
