IT Technician job summary

IT Technician – Full Time, 37 hours per week

Salary Scale: CLPT 04-11 £25,185 - £28,142 Depending on experience

The Central Learning Partnership Trust are looking to appoint an enthusiast and technically capable IT Technician to join the trust’s in-house Central IT team to support the Wolverhampton hub of academies. The post will be based between Coppice School, WV11 2QE and Heath Park School, WV11 1RD as well as supporting our other local schools on a rota basis.

The successful candidate will need to be:

  • A self-motivated individual and dedicated to supporting staff and students
  • Able to effectively work as part of a team, forming positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • A confident communicator and member of the team.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Have experience in a similar IT environment

Overview of the role:

  • To ensure the smooth running of the trust’s IT networks & systems.
  • To provide outstanding, pro-active and accessible support to all users.
  • Supporting all users across the trust’s academies via the central helpdesk.
  • To provide support to our local schools on a rota basis.
  • Install and test new hardware and equipment.
  • Perform device repairs and upgrades.
  • Identify and rectify hardware or software faults.
  • Install and test new software and associated deployments via MDT/WDS, PDQ Deploy & Intune/MEM.
  • Perform network cable installation and connectivity in-line with the relevant standards where required.
  • Ensure an up-to-date inventory of ICT equipment, software licenses and consumables are maintained.
