The role:
Do you have a passion for technology and a talent for solving IT problems?
We’re looking for a proactive IT Technician to provide high-quality technical support across our Trust, helping both staff and students work more efficiently. If you thrive on variety, enjoy helping others, and have strong technical skills, we’d love to hear from you.
As part of our central IT support team, you’ll be the go-to person for resolving desktop issues, managing upgrades, and keeping our IT systems running smoothly. From assisting in classrooms to maintaining servers, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our technology empowers learning every day.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support in person, over the phone, and remotely
- Logging, investigating, and resolving ICT support queries within agreed timeframes
- Installing, upgrading, and maintaining hardware and software
- Managing MS Teams, Outlook Groups, and network user accounts
- Maintaining shared network areas and promoting good digital housekeeping
- Supporting events such as assemblies, training sessions, and parent evenings
- Checking IT equipment, replenishing consumables, and keeping asset registers up to date
What We’re Looking For:
- GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English & Maths – A Levels or IT-related qualifications are a plus
- Experience in an IT support role (school experience desirable but not essential)
- Confidence with Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and ideally Office 365
- Strong troubleshooting skills with both hardware and software
- Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills
