Key Stage 1 Leader job summary
To commence in September 2020, Pollyplatt Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a driven, energetic and highly competent Key Stage 1 Leader.
Pollyplatt Primary School is a warm, welcoming, happy school, which is growing continuously through the development of its curriculum. We are seeking a suitably qualified teacher, who is able to continue to impact positively on standards of teaching and learning, in particular in the delivery of Reading and Phonics in key Stage 1.
The post is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to be a part of a forward thinking school. We are looking for an individual, who will not only embrace change positively, but someone who can also be a part of the school’s growth and development.
We are looking for:
A proven track record of highly effective Key Stage 1 teaching
A creative practitioner who has real passion of teaching and learning, capable of modelling strong practice to colleagues
Someone who places the needs of children at the heart of everything they do
Someone with a proven track record of achieving rapid and sustained pupil progress through a rich and relevant curriculum
Someone who actively promotes equality of opportunity through inclusive planning and management of a classroom
Someone who can take responsibility for the teaching and learning of phonics in KS1
An inspirational leader who demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm and rigour along with the capacity to motivate, support and lead colleagues to achieve high standards
An able manager with the facility to take on additional tasks at short notice
An approachable but confident person, capable of communicating with and supporting the wider school community
