What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a preference to teach in Key Stage One or Two.

We could support an Early Career Teacher in this role or equally would welcome an experienced teacher, who could being their own ideas to our school.

The successful candidate would need an excellent understanding of child protection and be committed to safeguarding all of our children.

Be committed to the aims and ethos of the school and be a positive role model.

We would welcome applicants who have a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum and can plan, deliver and assess learning across the subject areas so that all children make good progress.

Show a good understanding of making adaptions to meet the needs of all learners, including those with Special Educational Needs and those in receipt of the pupil premium.

Have high expectations for behaviour and be able to maintain a calm and purposeful classroom with reference to our positive school behaviour policy.

Effective communication, both verbally and through written forms (including the use of ICT) and a real team player.

Enthusiasm to make a difference to our school and the children who learn here.


What the school offers its staff

The school offers a supportive learning community in which to work and thrive.

We have a large site and large, well-resourced classrooms.

Most classes have a full time teaching assistant and we have additional teaching assistants to support with some individual children with special educational needs.

We have a strong SENDCo team who are able to support and advise staff in making appropriate adaptions for individuals or groups.

We prioritise continued professional development and actively encourage growth of adults within our establishments. Many members of our senior leadership team have been newly qualified teachers at the school.

We maintain a computer suite (as well as sets of iPads) and a school library as we feel these enhance and support children's learning.
