The Governors of this every-growing community primary school are looking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Key Stage 1 teacher to join our enthusiastic and supportive team from September 2020. NQT's are welcome to apply.

Essential skills and experience

Recent experience of teaching within Key Stage 1 or Foundation
Experience of delivering a high quality, broad, balanced and exciting KS1 curriculum covering all aspects of learning
Understanding of effective assessment strategies including the use of AFL, to meet the learning needs of all pupils
Ability to plan to meet the needs of all groups of pupils - demonstrating high expectations and standards
Ability to use ICT effectively when teaching
Ability to use a range of positive behaviour strategies to effectively promote outstanding behaviour for learning
Ability to use data, assessment and target setting to impact positively on pupil progress
Willingness to participate in school activities including extra-curricular activities and school related community events
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children
