KEY STAGE 2 LEADER
“High standards are an expectation, not an aspiration,” OFSTED (September 2018)
Do you aspire to be an inspirational and influential leader of education? Do you want to develop your leadership skills in an Outstanding academy? Do you see yourself as a future senior leader within a very successful and innovative academies trust?
At Blackthorns Community Primary Academy, our focus on each individual child is at the centre of everything we do, so that every child achieves their potential and all strengths are identified and valued. We strive to work in partnership with parents, Local Board members and pupils to create lifelong learners, giving our children the skills that they will need to be motivated and independent learners throughout their lives.
Our staff work hard to ensure that our school is a very happy, creative and stimulating environment, where children flourish. Pupils love learning through our rich, creative and exciting curriculum, which they are actively involved in planning and adapting, according to their own interests and needs.
We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher to become our new Key Stage 2 Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Key Stage 2 colleagues, as well as being an essential part of the academy’s Senior Team, who work hard to drive further improvements for our children on a strategic level. The role includes responsibility for teaching a Key Stage 2 class (year group to be decided), with release time to carry out leadership activities.
If you are ready to take the next step in your career and want to be part of the innovative and creative learning community at Blackthorns, then you are encouraged to come and visit our academy.
Blackthorns Community Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. There will be a need for you to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS, as well as other pre-employment checks. References will be sought prior to the interview process.
To arrange a visit or for further information, please contact the academy office on 01444 454866 or office@blackthornsprimaryacademy.org.uk
Closing Date: 23rd April 2019 (Midday)
Interviews: 26th April 2019
