Key Stage 2 teacher – Maternity Cover

Barlow Hall Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated class teacher, to cover a maternity, from 1st January 2021 to 31st August 2021.

The successful candidate will be creative and innovative in their approach to learning, someone who can demonstrate a strong track record of outstanding teaching. They will be a creative and highly motivated professional who has a very positive, ‘can do’ attitude. They will need to be committed to achieving the very best for our children, working in an urban setting. They must have strong inclusive practices with high expectations and a passion for enabling learning.

Barlow Hall Primary school is part of a Multi Academy Trust, LINK Learning Trust, with two schools, Barlow Hall Primary and Brookburn Community School. Both schools are Teaching Schools in The Manchester Teaching School Alliance.

Barlow Hall Primary School is located in Chorlton, Manchester. We currently have 330 children on roll and we operate as a one and a half form entry school. Our children come from a variety of backgrounds, religions and cultures. More than two thirds of our school population come from ethnic minority backgrounds with about 40% of our children having English as an additional language. Approximately 35% of our children are identified as vulnerable learners and 50% of children are eligible for pupil premium funding.
