New Horizons Primary School is a happy place to learn.
We work hard to make our school a happy and engaging environment for the children in our care; a place where we grow, play and learn safely together. We set high expectations in everything we do and strongly believe in the importance of the core skills of reading, writing, mathematics and communication.
Each day we welcome approximately 570 children to the school to learn across 21 classes, 3 in each year group. The school is housed within beautiful Victorian buildings with a newer extension housing the infants’ school hall and the main reception.
We believe that primary school education is an experience that all children should enjoy to the full. We therefore offer a broad and balanced curriculum. The multi-cultural dimension of our school community is another strength; we celebrate our many diverse backgrounds, helping our children to become positive and responsible citizens.
We strive to build strong relationships with our parents and we value and encourage their involvement and support. We have high expectations of what children can do and we work hard, encouraging parents to support us, in order that our pupils can make the best possible progress.
