What skills and experience we're looking for

Teaching and Learning and Assessment

  • To ensure an engaging curriculum is developed to inspire, support and challenge all students at Key Stage 3.
  • To develop and quality assure the implementation plans, resources and assessments in the faculty and ensure they successfully develop knowledge, understanding and skills at all levels of ability.
  • To ensure assessments are rigorous and fit for purpose and that assessment feedback is instrumental in raising achievement.
  • To analyse Key Stage data effectively and put actions in place that raise levels of teaching and learning, develop the curriculum sustainably and raise student engagement and progress.
  • To oversee skill development across the Key Stage.
  • To support the Director of Learning to create opportunities to continue to improve subject pedagogy within the faculty through moderation, training, collaborative planning and the use of excellent teaching resources.
  • To monitor the quality of Teaching and Learning in the faculty, conducting learning walks, work scrutiny and lesson observations when required
