Key Stage 5 Academic Tutor job summary
Thurston Community College seeks applications from outstanding applicants with imagination and energy for this rewarding role. Working closely with the Head of Sixth Form, as well as the rest of the Sixth Form
Team, you will monitor and support the well-being and progress of our students, providing one to one tuition and a group tutorial programme. A key aspect of this role will be reference writing and supporting
students with their personal statements, therefore the ideal candidate will have good communication skills and a sound knowledge of post 18 pathways.

Thurston Sixth
Thurston Community College is a large popular mixed comprehensive school. It comprises of two distinct and specialist sites. Our Thurston Campus, for students from Year 7 to Year 11 is situated four miles east of Bury St Edmunds. Thurston Sixth; Beyton Campus is located in the nearby village of Beyton, offering a bespoke centre of excellence for students in Year 12 and Year 13.
