What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you looking for a new and exciting role? Use your passion and excitement for your subject as a Key Stage 5 Coordinator of Mathematics at Homewood School. You can ensure all students not only achieve well but develop an enjoyment of the subject by joining our team of mathematicians who specialise in all disciplines.
You will take a lead role within the Mathematics department, working alongside the other TLR post-holders to deliver the curriculum. The role will include overseeing the development of the KS5 scheme of work, exam entries and revision sessions, GCSE re-sits, student data spreadsheets alongside undertaking observations of KS5 lessons. The ability to teach mechanics to A level would be an advantage but is not essential.
Leading by example, the post-holder will provide motivation and inspiration to both staff and students. Working closely with the Principal Teacher Maths you will attend departmental, staff and training sessions and ensure all aspects of the departmental development plan are delivered. The successful candidate will be a facilitator of people at all levels and will develop strategies and initiatives that have longevity, relevance and meaning throughout the whole school. The Performance Management of some staff will be integral to the post.
