What skills and experience we're looking for
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher of Science to join Wootton Academy Trust as a KS5 Physics Co-ordinator.
This KS5 Physics Co-ordinator is required due to the increasing popularity of sciences at Kimberley 16-19 STEM College. Kimberley opened in 2013 in a state-of-the-art building that provides excellent resources for both staff and students. Science, Maths and Psychology are the most popular subjects taught at the College.
Student progression from GCSE to A Level is extremely important to us, so while we would expect a sizeable proportion of teaching to concentrate on Key Stage 5, there is also the likelihood our of KS5 Physics Co-ordinator will teach across the age range.
Wootton Academy Trust has a fantastic team of 16 Science teachers who are dedicated to supporting learners make great progress as well as working as a tightly knit team. Some of our team are new to the profession, others are more experienced teachers. All share the same vision namely to provide the very best teaching and learning opportunities to every young person in the school and college. There is a strong track record of success at both GCSE and A Level.
