Key Stage Leader/Associate Assistant Headteacher job summary
Purpose of the Post:
• To ensure the maximum positive experience of students as they pass through the Key Stage through planning and directing the work of pastoral teams.
• To lead on the planning, delivery and implementation of a programme of coordinated events which will include scheduling assessment periods, parental engagement/support events as well as pastoral, life skills and extra-curricular activities when preparing students for future success.
• To provide leadership of the intervention programmes for vulnerable and underachieving students and coordinate with relevant responsibility post-holders (and external agencies) to maximise support, progress and address academic underachievement within the Key Stage.
• To lead the relevant pastoral team leaders when promoting character development and supporting behaviour policies. Promote good communication and feedback opportunities between the pastoral team and families/students which lead to improvements in the work of the school.
