What skills and experience we're looking for
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the KS1 phase to ensure consistent and effective teaching
- Develop and implement strategies for raising achievement and standards
- Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning within the phase
- Support teacher in planning, assessment and curriculum development
- Ensure the effective use of resources and manage the phase budget
- Work collaboratively with other phase leaders and the Senior Leadership team
- Act as a role model for teaching and learning
Person Specification:
- Qualified teacher status
- Evidence of professional development relevant to the role
Experience:
- Successful teaching experience in KS1
- Experience in a leadership role is desirable
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong teaching and learning experience
- Good communicator and role model
- Ability to lead a team
- Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
Personal Qualifications
- High expectations for all pupils
- Commitment to upholding and promoting the ethos and values of the school
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
