Key Worker (SEND) job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Exhall Grange Learning POD, an innovative development within Warwickshire’s Vulnerable Learner’s Strategy. The post is to support the work of a team of specialist staff who are creating a small learning environment for key stage 4/5 pupils.
The pupils, from mainstream settings, have acute mental health needs arising from their complex communication and interaction presentation. The successful candidate must have direct and recent experience of working with pupils with autism/complex communication and interaction needs.

Exhall Grange is deeply committed to safeguarding our pupils and, as part of our pre-employment processes, we undertake online searches of all shortlisted candidates in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. All staff will be required to undertake a DBS check for both children and adults.

Exhall Grange is a 4-19 community maintained specialist school which meets the needs of children and young people with visual impairment, physical disabilities, complex medical and social communication interaction difficulties, including Autism. The school also leads and manages the Vision Support Service on behalf of Warwickshire County Council and has a dedicated Learning Pod for upto 8 students with SEMH.
