What skills and experience we're looking for

The preferred candidate will:

Be an inspirational teacher who believes that the students in their care deserve the very best education

Be able to plan and teach engaging lessons which support students to make rapid progress

Be able to demonstrate a passion about the role of English within education be able to establish strong relationships and have excellent interpersonal skills

The role will involve:

Leading developments at KS3 within English including appropriate courses, resources, schemes of work and teaching and learning strategies in conjunction with HOF

Being responsible for the analysing, monitoring and evaluating KS3 pupil progress targets to make a measurable contribution to whole school targets

Being accountable for formulating aims and objectives for KS3 within the Faculty that support the strategic plans of the school in conjunction with HOF

Assisting with the design, development, and delivery of an appropriate and high quality KS3 English curriculum

Contributing to the implementation of the school monitoring policy including carrying out lesson observations and work scrutiny in KS3
