A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen. The Den is looking for a Key Worker to join our friendly team to work under the direction of the Nursery Manager and Team Leader. The Den is registered to care for up to 32 children between the ages of 2 – 5 years and will be accepting government founded sessions. The opening times are 7.30 – 18:00 daily, term time. We are open for 48 weeks a year, closing for two weeks over the Christmas period and two weeks at the beginning of the Summer Holiday. During the holiday periods our sessions times may change.

The Key Worker will be part of The Den at Wellington Lions Primary Academy, based in Tidworth and will be providing safe, high quality education and care for young children. The Key Worker will need to understand each individual child and their individual needs and have an excellent understanding of childcare / child development. They will also be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Management Team.

The successful candidate must have:

• A proven track record of working in a nursery or pre-school setting

• A good level of education, with at least a grade 4 (C) in English and Maths at either GCSE / ‘O’ Level

• Must be educated up to NVQ/CACHE Level 2/3

• Good oral communication skills

• Some knowledge of Autism and global development delay
