Kitchen Assistant job summary
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team at Bramingham Primary School
10 hours per week Monday to Friday 12pm - 2pm
(Term Time only – 38.6 weeks)
Fixed term Maternity cover until 31st December 2024- With the potential of extending the fixed term date.
Salary range: NJC Scale Level L1A pt 2-3
Hourly rate £11.59-£11.79
You will need to be passionate about meeting the needs of our children . We are a fully inclusive school, with a resourced provision. We also have a number of children with a range of allergies and intolerances to certain foods.

The successful candidates will:
Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to make sure all aspects of your job are being completed efficiently and affectively
Assisting the Kitchen Manager and Cook with preparations of food if needed & hygiene of the kitchen
Ensuring all equipment is clean during operations.
General cleaning in kitchen & service area.
This role requires excellent communications skills as well as high standards in the kitchen
To be successful in this role you need to be a team player with excellent communication skills.
Provide assistance with special function catering and any other catering services undertaken by the kitchen.
Perform cleaning tasks as directed by the Kitchen Manager in kitchen store areas, internal and external waste bin and ground level drain areas.
Have the ability to forge and maintain positive working relationships with children and staff
