What skills and experience we're looking for
The Golden Thread Alliance Trust are looking for a hardworking, flexible member of staff to join their Catering Team as an Overflow Kitchen Assistant, to work across all schools in the Trust. This role will be fixed term until 31st August 2025.
The post will be for 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year. You will be paid £23,337 Full time equivalent, actual pro rata salary of £8,533.16 per year.

Reporting to the Chef Manager, you will play an essential part in ensuring our food service is the best that it can be, as you will be working in our kitchens providing extra support and covering absence.
You will need to be flexible and adaptable, and your duties will be varied, including basic food preparation, serving pupils and staff, and of course washing up and helping to keep the kitchen clean, tidy and safe.
As a very important member of our team, you will be expected to undertake training, which you will be paid for, and we will provide you with uniform.
Experience of working in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential, and we welcome applicants seeking a better work life balance and greater flexibility.
