What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appointment a Kitchen Assistant to support our busy school canteen between 9am and 3pm daily. Some flexibility around working hours may be considered for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be the main staff member responsible for washing up in the school canteen. The role may also involve cleaning of equipment and kitchen/dining areas. There may be the possibility of overtime, and opportunities to get involved with food preparation, cooking and service.
You will work under the supervision of the kitchen team, reporting to the Cook.
We require:
- A team player, who is willing and able to help colleagues as required.
- Someone hardworking, with high standards for their own performance.
- An appreciation for health and safety and food safety and hygiene.
- Experience working as part of a team would be beneficial.
