Kitchen Porters (2 posts) job summary
Have your children just started school? Do you need working hours to fit around your family and the school run? Are you hard working? Are you a happy positive person who would love to work with a likeminded team? If so we are looking someone to join our team in a busy kitchen within a large secondary school.
You will work under the direction of the Chef/ Catering Manager helping prepare, cook and serve food and drink to students and staff. In addition, you will be required to prepare and dismantle eating areas and carry out cleaning duties whilst maintaining high quality standards of health, hygiene and safety. The successful candidates will ideally have the Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, although training is available if necessary.
Duties include but are not limited to;
• Serving meals
• Food and stock rotation
• Food preparation
• Cleaning of surfaces and pots
• Changing waste bins
• Deep cleaning
Applicants successfully shortlisted will be expected to complete a working interview as part of the interview process.
