What skills and experience we're looking for
Laleham Gap School is looking for experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our wonderful, dedicated and highly effective team. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for working with children with SEND. This role can be challenging but also incredibly rewarding therefore the ideal candidate must possess patience and resilience.

Further information about the responsibilities of the role can be found in the attached job description and person specification.We currently have vacancies for Teaching Assistants at Kent Range 3 (32.75 hours per week Term Time Only plus inset days).
Kent Range 3 FTE £21,293.00 (Pro-rota)In addition to the above the roles will also receive SENA (Special Educational Needs Allowance) currently at pro rota of £1,422.00
The successful candidates would be educated to at least GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalent and have the experience of working with children in an educational setting. Ideally we are looking for candidates who have specific interests in:• Being a positive role model, supporting students and their individual needs• Committed, flexible and enthusiastic individuals who are team players• Relating well to pupils and have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate a high level of emotional support and communicate effectively• Experience and passion in supporting Pupil and Staff Wellbeing• Experience of working with children with autism, speech language and communication difficulties as well as challenging behaviour

Laleham Gap is a Foundation, Communication and Interaction Special School. We have pupils aged from 4 to 18 years of age. Most of our pupils have a diagnosis of Autism. All pupils have an EHCP. Most pupils will achieve some GCSEs or equivalent at age 16.
