We are a federated secondary special academy for pupils with Autism, Communication and Associated Learning Difficulties.
We are part of the Torfield and Saxon Mount Academy Trust.
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative
KS 3 / 4 Teacher
MPS/UPS plus SEN 1
We wish to recruit an exceptionally talented teacher who is able to adapt well to new challenges. The successful candidate will support subject development across the school, including in our additional support facility, prepare and deliver whole school programmes of study including those for accredited courses. They will have a proven & demonstrable ability to successfully progress the learning of pupils (particularly those with SEN). They will be a class teacher & will have pastoral responsibilities.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• Knowledge and understanding of students with autism, speech, language and communication difficulties or a willingness to learn effective teaching strategies for our pupils
• An understanding and interest in SEN, preferably with experience in working with students requiring additional support in accessing the curriculum
• The ability to ensure aspirational pupil progress for all pupils, regardless of their prior attainment, which is usually significantly below age related expectations.
• The ability to work effectively within a team.
