KS1 Class Teacher job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Year 1 Class Teacher who will join a caring team of staff who pull together to make our school a great place to be. Our school is blessed with wonderful pupils (who won’t fail to bring a smile to your face!) and a supportive school community.
We are interested in hearing from experienced teachers who are excellent KS1 practitioners who understand how to support children through the transition from Reception to Year 1. A TLR allowance will be attached to the post for a successful candidate who can be a model of good practice to others. The successful candidate will work closely with the Assistant Headteacher for Early Years & KS1 to develop transition practice.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher who:
- is passionate about children’s learning and wants to play a key role in enabling our children to flourish
- is able to deliver engaging teaching sharply focused on children’s learning needs
- has excellent classroom management skills that can be used as a model of good practice
- has a complete and coherent understanding of teaching children to love reading
- is a great story teller
- is a team player and an energy creator

Bitham Brook Primary School is a happy, popular two-form entry school situated in Westbury, Wiltshire.
The school has just completed an exciting period of change with a large extension completed in March.
