What the school offers its staff
Great Addington Primary is an established part of the beautiful local community, where children and staff alike, develop cherished memories. We strive to ensure that by the time a child leaves our school, they have had the chance to experience a rich and exciting curriculum, to develop a growth mindset and improve their academic resilience. We believe that learning should be ‘immersive’ and therefore work hard to supplement this with outstanding enrichment opportunities, to make all experiences for the children ‘come alive’ in a range of contexts.
Working in partnership with all our young people and their families, we establish honest and trusting relationships, which are crucial in achieving the success for our pupils that they deserve. By working together to build and contribute to, an environment that values, safeguards, and nurtures all, it enables all our children to achieve their full potential academically, personally, and spiritually.
This commitment is extended to our Staff Community too, to ensure we work as a focussed employer, that priorities mental health and values all contributions. In doing so, we hope to build a rewarding and collaborative working environment, that is filled with happy and motivated children. Together we build a Christian foundation of love, care, respect, and forgiveness for all members of our school family. These deeply embedded values influence our whole lives and community, permeating everything we are and do. This close working team are excited to welcome you to our school!

Great Addington C of E Primary is a vibrant and popular school, with committed staff, governors and children. We have an enviable reputation as being the ‘small school’ that gives its children ‘so much.’ We aim to build upon the school's strengths and become an outstanding centre for learning within the community. Our vision for achieving this is through high quality teaching and learning with a commitment to valuing potential in all members of the GA community.
Striving to unlock the talents of all our pupils, we continually challenge them to achieve their best and develop the skills for a lifelong love of learning. It is only through challenge that students truly discover what they are capable of. No matter where we start in life, we recognise that all have the potential to achieve and at Great Addington Primary, we strive to ensure that they do.
At Great Addington, we have recently undergone extensive site works, now offering a modern working environment for staff and children alike, that retains its special magic. Following a successful Ofsted inspection in March 2023, parents and carers could not speak more highly of our school, with one parent, typical of many, commenting ‘The staff and school are wonderful, and everyone contributes to the community feel of this school.’ Staff ensure that they check of pupil’s well-being every morning and pupils enjoy school and the know that staff care for them.
