KS1 Class Teacher job summary

• Responsibility for teaching an assigned class of pupils. The post holder will lead and manage a curriculum area throughout the school
• Ensuring that all CSET/school policies and procedures are followed within Key Stage 1 on a day-to-day basis
• Effective subject teaching, pastoral care and necessary administration and fulfilling the Key Stage 1 Statutory Guidelines
• Working effectively as part of a Key Stage 1 team
• To effectively deliver the Key Stage 1 curriculum ensuring adult and child led activities daily and ongoing provision covers all areas
• To be responsible for helping to produce, implement and review planning in order to provide well-co‐ordinated and differentiated provision
• To conduct ongoing assessments accurately and consistently
• Have progress meetings to discuss progress and enter data onto the school’s tracking system
• To be responsible for helping to manage resources and equipment ensuring that good practice is followed according to CSET/ the school’s Health and Safety procedures
• To adhere to CSET/school policies. Please note that there is a specific school based Early Years Policy
• Participate in performance management as set out in the CSET Performance Management Policy and Procedure including the meeting of Teaching Standards as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay & Conditions Document
• Completing day-to-day management tasks assigned by the Head teacher

Lyde Green Primary is a fresh and exciting new school based at Lyde Green near Bristol. Our aim is to inspire and encourage a passion for lifelong learning in our children, sparking curiosity, promoting creativity and nurturing developing passions to ensure that our children grow and thrive on their journey through school. Our curriculum places huge importance on reading and a love of books. It also promotes the ‘big ideas’ of diversity, society and exploration.
Our dedicated team of staff model themselves as lifelong learners and put our children’s best interests at the heart of everything they do and they work hard to ensure children remain challenged, motivated and engaged with their learning throughout their time with us.
The school currently has just under 500 children comprising two EYFS classes, three Y1, three Y2, three Y3, two Y4, two Y5 and one Y6 class. Lyde Green Primary School also has a Specialist Access Centre for up to 16 children with a diagnosis of ASC (Autistic Spectrum Conditions)
