What skills and experience we're looking for
Qualifications and experience:
- Qualified teacher status
- Successful primary teaching experience
Skills and knowledge:
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies
- A good understanding of how children learn
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs
- Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils
- Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
- Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
- Good ICT skills, particularly using ICT to support learning
Personal qualities:
- A commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the ethos and values of the school
- High expectations for children’s attainment and progress
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively

This is a temporary contract until August 2023 which is linked to numbers on role, in our ever-growing school.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher who shines brightly in all they do.
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Will be committed to our ethos of ‘shining brightly’ by having high expectations for our diverse school community
- Is experienced in identifying, monitoring, evaluating and providing effective strategies for all pupils so that they can shine brightly
- Works well within a team environment where everyone is valued and encouraged to shine brightly
Is able to:
- Plan learning that is creative and inspires and enthuses children to shine brightly
- Help others in your team to shine brightly
- Shine brightly with your positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Shine brightly with a willingness to promote learning in a caring Christian ethos.
Commitment to safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and have a culture of vigilance in all aspects of safeguarding and child protection.
In accordance with Section 236 of Keeping Children Safe in Education, September 2022, this role meets the definition of Regulated Activity and an enhanced DBS check with children’s barred list information will be undertaken prior to commencement of employment.
All posts involving direct contact with children are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. However, amendments to the Exception Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’ and not subject to disclosure to employers.
