KS1/Early Years Teaching Assistant job summary

Contract Details: Hours to be agreed (part time or full time) but between 8:45 am- 3.15 pm,  39 weeks a year  

The Beeches Community Primary School is a friendly and happy school. If you join our team you can be assured that you will be part of a caring community of staff who put children at the heart of everything we do.   We are looking for an experienced and talented Teaching Assistant, who has experience in Early Years. This a varied role which includes delivering  personalised Special Educational Needs support to individuals and small groups of children in Nursery and Reception as well as providing high quality classroom support.  

The person that we are looking for needs to:

  • Relish the challenge of supporting learning in an ambitious and diverse school.

  • Work with dynamic, forward thinking staff with high aspirations for our children.

  • Be a teaching assistant who exemplifies outstanding classroom practice, behaviour,  management and high expectations

  • Be passionate about supporting all learners especially those with Special Educational Needs 

  • Be committed to life-long learning and open to excellent CPD opportunities.

  • Have good levels of English and Maths competence - GCSE C or equivalent and a Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
