What skills and experience we're looking for

If you are an effective and enthusiastic Class Teacher who can create and nurture an engaging classroom learning environment being committed to providing a warm, welcoming, stimulating learning experience for the children in their class – this could be your dream job. Join us and have a positive impact the children at Priestley during this exciting time of expansion. Although the post is initially a one year fixed contract, we are expecting it to become established very quickly. The flexibility to be happy to teach across both KS1 & KS2 will be an advantage.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Keeps children at the heart of the teaching and learning process.
  • Is an outstanding practitioner with a consistent high expectation of both pupil and staff achievement, attainment and behaviour.
  • Is an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Has experience of teaching in both Key Stage One and Two (although desirable, this isn’t essential).
  • Can contribute to, and take support from, our fantastic team of colleagues.
  • Can work with colleagues to:

o Develop our inclusive curriculum in order to improve outcomes for all pupils

o Embed our self-evaluation systems and ensuring consistency across school.

o Support the effective use of assessment across the school to evaluate and raise standards of achievement.
