What skills and experience we're looking for
If you are an
effective and enthusiastic Class Teacher who can create and nurture an engaging
classroom learning environment being committed to providing a warm, welcoming,
stimulating learning experience for the children in their class – this could be
your dream job. Join us and have a positive impact the children at Priestley
during this exciting time of expansion. Although
the post is initially a one year fixed contract, we are expecting it to become
established very quickly. The
flexibility to be happy to teach across both KS1 & KS2 will be an
advantage.
We are looking for someone who:
- Keeps children at the heart of the teaching and learning process.
- Is an outstanding practitioner with a consistent high expectation of both pupil and staff achievement, attainment and behaviour.
- Is an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
- Has experience of teaching in both Key Stage One and Two (although desirable, this isn’t essential).
- Can contribute to, and take support from, our fantastic team of colleagues.
- Can work with colleagues to:
o Develop our inclusive curriculum in order to improve outcomes for all pupils
o Embed our self-evaluation systems and ensuring consistency across school.
o Support the effective use of assessment across the school to evaluate and raise standards of achievement.

Priestley Primary School is a located in the town of Calne. We currently have 282 pupils on roll.
Our aim at Priestley is to help create communicative, competent, confident young people who are more than ready for the next challenge in their educational journey.
