Ideally you would;
* Be a good or outstanding teacher, enthusiastic and dedicated
* Have high expectations of teaching and learning and a commitment to all pupils
* Have experience of the KS1 curriculum
* Demonstrate, or
have knowledge of careful planning, assessment and record keeping procedures
* Have the ability to work as an effective team member and be an excellent communicator
- Experience of recent excellent whole class teaching in either Key Stage One or Two.
- Understand the differing learning needs of pupils and be able to plan effectively to meet the needs of the child.
- Understand how assessment for learning can be used effectively to support differentiation.
- A belief that “Every Child Matters” and demonstrate that through the curriculum offered in class.
- To be able to manage the behaviour of pupils with a range of effective strategies.
- To be a reflective learner, and show a willingness to learn.
- To demonstrate a sound understanding of, and commitment to Equal Opportunities issues.
Desirable criteria.
- Evidence of having led a curriculum area.
