What skills and experience we're looking for
Leominster Primary School is seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher to work with a Year 2 class. This post is a 0.66 FTE fixed term position covering a maternity leave, starting in January 2025.
The ideal candidate will:
- be a qualified teacher who can demonstrate a successful track record in facilitating academic development and a creative and engaging teaching style;
- have the ability and experience of teaching KS1 groups;
- have excellent classroom management skills;
- be able to use their own initiative and work as part of a team;
- be hard working, enthusiastic and dedicated.

Leominster Primary School is a three-form entry primary school with two nursery classes in the market town of Leominster in Herefordshire. We have 590 pupils on roll with a staffing complement of approximately 100. The school has two headteachers, who share responsibility for the school.
There are two specially resourced provision units on site. This provision is designated for a small number of pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and pupils with autism
The school also provides before- and after-school care on site.
