Saint Barnabas Church of England Primary School is situated in the village of Barnetby Le Wold on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds and we are Federated with St. Helena’s Church of England Primary School, in the nearby village of Kirmington.
We are a small, friendly caring school and we take great pride in playing a central part in village life. We receive strong support from ‘Friends Of Barnetby School’ (FOBS) who work tirelessly to organise fundraising events for the school. We have close links with Saint Barnabas Church and hold regular school services in the church.
This is our promise to our whole school family, children and adults alike. Within a loving, Christian atmosphere we will offer each unique person continuing chances to take part in learning experiences, where they are enabled to explore the limits of their ability. Together we will ensure they have the opportunity to use their God-given talents to achieve their full potential.
An important part of life at Saint Barnabas is teaching our Christian values of thankfulness, friendship, perseverance, hope, trust, peace, forgiveness and compassion. We raise money for many charities both in our local community and the wider community, as well as sponsoring six children at the Hope Community Village through the Hope India Organisation. Hope India Look after children who suffer from deprivation both on the city streets and in rural areas. They are contacted on a regular basis concerning the plight of children of all ages who have been abandoned, orphaned or who for a variety of reasons are suffering abuse or starvation.
We welcome all children and families, and personalise learning to meet individual needs. It is our aim to ensure that everyone at the school feels part of a successful team, knowing that they are valued, being inspired to fulfil their potential and taking their place in society as individuals who can make a real difference.
Success comes from a commitment to working in partnership. The importance of strong and effective relationships between home and school is vital if we are to ensure all of our children feel safe, happy and valued
I look forward to meeting you all in the near future, at school events, worships, church services or even a quick chat on the school yard!
