We are a small school of 133 children situated in the Wye Valley. It is a beautiful setting and we enjoy making the most of our local area and our outdoor space.
Our school is made up of five mixed age classes and we have a fabulous team of staff who are welcoming and support each other. We are very proud of our links with our local community and believe it is important that the teacher who joins us is able to build great connections with all that are involved with our school.
The post advertised is for our Daisy class. This is a mixed class of Year 1 and Year 2 children. They love learning and are very curious about the world around them. They would love a teacher who can nurture their curiosity through our curriculum and give them opportunities to learn in a variety of ways. The post would be a job share with our Acting Deputy Head, Amy Davis, who is an experienced EYFS/ KS1 class teacher. She will work with you to ensure that this shared post is as seamless as possible for the children. The class also have a super TA who supports them every morning with their learning and who is very skilled in working with the class teacher to make our mixed year group class the very best it can be.
St Briavels Parochial C of E Primary School is part of the Wye Forest Federation with Redbrook C of E Primary School. Together, the staff of both schools share subject leadership and staff meetings in order to make our capacity as a team stronger. There are also opportunities for our children to share resources, trips and events during the course of the year.
