Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status. B.Ed or Degree with P.G.C.E.

Experience

  • Experience of teaching in KS2 and of leading a subject area

Curriculum

  • A clear understanding of teaching and learning
  • A sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and National Initiatives in a Primary School setting
  • Assessment and target setting experience
  • Clear understanding of planning a creative curriculum and the importance of learning objectives
  • Coherent view of teaching, learning and curriculum delivery to include special needs

Philosophy

  • A strong commitment to raising standards and achievement through excellent classroom practice
  • High expectations of behaviour and standards
  • Clear views on how children learn and an understanding of how achievement for all children can be maximised
  • A sound understanding of educational aims and objectives for children based on individual learning

Skills

Thank you for your interest in applying for a position at Kempston Rural Primary School. We currently have a vacancy for a Year 5 class teacher. This position will begin as soon as possible.

Kempston Rural Primary School is a popular two form entry school with 430 students on roll, EYFS through to Year 6. We also run a Pre-School provision that caters for 24 three year olds. Kempston Rural Primary is a friendly and welcoming school with pupils that love to learn and staff that work hard to ensure the best possible outcomes for all.

We are rightly proud of all we have achieved to date and we look forward to welcoming new staff with new ideas onto our team.
