KS2 Class Teacher - Maternity Cover job summary

 
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring qualified Class Teacher to join our supportive and talented team at Evergreen Primary Academy. We are looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our pupils’ learning.  Our academy is full of happy and engaging pupils, many of whom come from a range of culturally rich backgrounds.  We celebrate this diversity and ensure that we use a wide range of teaching strategies to enable successful learning for all pupils including where English is the pupil’s second language.

This is a fixed term maternity cover position required from 1 September 2021 until 31 August 2022.

We provide excellent training and development opportunities within the Federation, including a full induction programme for newly qualified and experienced teachers. Training is both local and/or delivered through our excellent stand-alone training facility at the CLF Institute. For teachers, the CLF Institute aims to provide a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT), for newly qualified teachers (NQT), recently qualified teachers in their early career development, to successive stages of leadership through to Headship and beyond.

Staff receive high quality professional development, training and support and contribute positively to the development of the school.  It is crucially important that you truly understand the importance and the positive impact you can have as a Class Teacher upon the lives of all children, including some of the most vulnerable children in society.  We believe that building positive and trusting relationships with our pupils is crucial to their success and personal development.  We place the utmost importance on Class Teachers building strong, positive relationships with children which in turn leads to engaged, motivated and positive learners.  We are a one form entry school and you will need to be used to planning and consistently delivering high quality lessons, will have experience in delivering the curriculum in your chosen area and will be a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change and motivate colleagues and pupils. A well-qualified teacher, holding QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, you will have the ability to teach from Key Stage 1- Key Stage 2. We look for professionals who have excellent class management skills and have high expectations of work and behaviour.

 Evergreen Primary Academy is part of the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF). We are a primary academy with children from Reception through to Year 6 (4-11 years old).
