We are looking for someone who:
- Is committed to being a truly excellent teacher;
- Can teach a broad range of engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve student attainment;
- Can plan and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard that ensure real learning takes place and students make superior progress;
- Can show impact of their work in a chosen curriculum area;
- Has a clear vision for high expectations and pupil outcomes and is able to raise attainment and challenge students to achieve their best;
- Has a commitment to extra-curricular activities;
- Is aware of current initiatives, particularly the upper KS2 curriculum, and will commit to the role of quality children’s literature in the classroom
- Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to the work in our school;
- Has a positive, cheerful outlook with a good sense of humour;
- Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff and is keen to play a significant role in the life of the school;
- Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure;
- Has a desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure.

St John’s Church of England Primary School is a happy and successful single form entry school, educating children between the ages of 4 and 11.
