• Teacher - including planning, teaching and assessing whole classes and small groups of pupils

Essential skills and experience

 Classroom practitioner with experience across KS1/KS2
 Possess a sound understanding of National Curriculum subjects and statutory requirements
 Monitoring and assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ progress including to parents
 Statutory requirements of legislation concerning equal opportunities, health and safety, SEND, safeguarding and child protection
 Effective teaching and learning strategies
 To have knowledge of the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs for all pupils
 Child centred philosophy
 Abreast of current educational thinking, research and initiatives, nationally and locally
