KS2 Class Teacher job summary
Woolpit Primary Academy is looking to appoint a class teacher to work in KS2.
This is a full time primary teaching role and will commence in September 2019. NQTs are welcome to apply.
Woolpit Primary Academy is a thriving school in a delightful village.
We aim to create a caring and safe community in which everyone is valued and respected. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher four our Year 5 class, to begin in September 2019.
We are passionate and determined that every child succeed to the best of their ability. We aim to foster pupils' strengths and support their progress with a broad and holistic curriculum that inspires and equips children for a lifetime of learning. We value originality and creativity and strive to develop confident, reflective learners who show respect to each other and learn to connect with the world.
We currently have approximately 161 pupils in our school, organised into seven single year group classes from Reception to Year 6.
The school is part of the Thedwastre Education Trust.
Thedwastre Education Trust is a local multi-academy trust in the heart of Suffolk. Our four village primary schools work very closely together to use the talents within all our schools for the benefit of our pupils.
The Trust and its schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and the successful candidate must ensure that the highest priority is given to following guidance and regulations to safeguard children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Woolpit is an attractive village school, which boasts an idyllic location in the Suffolk countryside, close to Bury St Edmunds, but with very easy access to the A14. There are currently 123 pupils on our roll from Reception to Year 6 but we expect to grow rapidly over the next few years due to local housing developments.
