KS2 Class Teacher & Year Group Leader job summary

We are looking to recruit an aspirational and energetic class teacher and year group leader to join our friendly team. We are looking for a full time teacher to teach one of our fantastic Year 6 classes from January 2023. We are ideally looking for someone with upper Key Stage 2 experience. This vacancy is most suitable for experienced teachers and a TLR is available for suitable candidates to lead a subject area and a year group. Applications from suitable candidates may be interviewed ahead of the closing date.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and promote high-quality teaching and learning across a group of specified classes or subject area(s), leading by example as an exemplary teacher.
  • Lead a team of teachers and support staff as required, providing performance management, coaching and mentoring for staff as directed by the Head teacher.
  • Work in conjunction with the Head teacher and other relevant members of staff in developing a curriculum and assessment framework for a group of specified classes or subject area(s).
