What skills and experience we're looking for
The governors of Grange Primary School are looking to appoint an excellent class teacher to join our enthusiastic and hardworking team on a one-year fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave.
Grange is a calm, respectful and happy school, built on warm relationships between adults and pupils. Our children are interested and engaging, they demonstrate excellent behaviour for learning and they love coming to school!
We are a strong team with high ambitions – with all teachers working collaboratively within classes and as subject leaders to further develop and enhance our curriculum and values. Their common aim is to provide our children with the best experiences and promote their aspirations and life chances.
Our range of support staff are professional, flexible and hardworking. They include a non-class based SENCO and pastoral support manager. Our staff enjoy working with together – they are hardworking, resilient, flexible and know how to laugh together.
Our Governing Body are knowledgeable and undertake their roles with commitment, challenge and respect. They enjoy working with staff and share the same values and characteristics.
We are looking for someone who is:

Essential Qualifications
- Qualified teacher status (teaching degree or equivalent)
- Primary phase trained
Essential Experience
- Recent teaching in either KS1 or KS2 with evidence of excellent teaching
- Experience of teaching phonics and/or early reading to either KS1pupils or KS2 early readers
- Experience of using a wide range of IT to enhance teaching and learning
- Experience of planning for other adults in the classroom
- ECTs will be considered dependent on experience and skills
