What skills and experience we're looking for
We would like to recruit a KS2 Teacher, ideally from November 2024, to work with our children across the whole school covering PPA.
We expect the same high standards during PPA as throughout the rest of the school week and our part time staff are vital and valued. We want our children to leave us as independent and resilient, with skills they can transfer.
What the school offers its staff
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced practitioner to join us. The post is non class based and is fixed to a Tuesday and Wednesday working pattern. The pay band has been set for a Main Pay Range teacher between MPR 1 and 4.
We value:
- Children and adults
- Commitment and enthusiasm
- Experience and ambition
- Innovation and great outcomes
We offer:
- Development, training and support at every career stage
- Children with enthusiasm, great ideas and good conduct and learning behaviours
- Parents who want the best for their children
- Employee wellbeing initiatives including flexibility
We take safeguarding very seriously and do everything we can to protect and promote the welfare of children and adults. We expect all our staff to do the same. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed - please contact the office to arrange a tour of the school.
In December 2022, Ofsted reported that "Pupils are delighted to be a part of this school. They see it as a warm, welcoming place where they feel that they belong. Pupils said it is like being part of a big family. Pupils are kept safe."
Flexible working opportunities
You will teach one class in each year group (Y3-6) on a two week rotation and you will be paid to carry out your own PPA in addition to the two teaching days ie 0.44FTE.

Robin Hood Juniors is a strong and resilient community that thrives on the support of parents and families; local networks and neighbours.
We seek to create a safe, caring and happy environment in which all pupils are involved and can thrive personally, socially and academically and safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We work in partnership with parents to give children the best possible chance to succeed.
We are community co-educational school for girls and boys aged from 7 to 11. We have up to 360 children on role, with three classes in each year group. Many children transfer to us from Robin Hood Infant School and we work closely with them to make sure this is a smooth transition. Our Year 6 pupils transfer to High Schools across the borough and in neighbouring boroughs.
We are a diverse community with over a third of our pupils speaking another language as well as English and around a quarter being entitled to Pupil Premium Grant. Around 10% of our pupils receive support for a Special Educational Need or Disability. The inclusiveness and diversity of Robin Hood Juniors is very special. We look forward to meeting you.
